Hi guy's i need some help. does this shot look better with or without the ear? strange question I know, but when I looked at the original I kept being drawn by the highlighted ear, problem is when I cloned it out it still looked odd. Before anyone else mentions it the cloning isn't the finished product just a quick go to see if it's worth spending some time on There may be a slight difference in tone also.

thanks in advance.

Maybe you can select the ear and darken it. I think the guy singing will have a hard time carrying the tune without the ear. I think this leaves you open to tuns of puns.

I didn't even think of that...you can tell I'm new at this p.s thingy.
I'll give that a go. I thought I could clone out the ear and it would look like it was in the shadow, but I can see now that just doesn't work.

...any one think the first one is ok with the ear as is?

I'd say see if you can tone it down some. Wish I'd looked at the picture before reading your comments. Once I read your take on the matter, the ear draws my attention most readily.

What I did If you don't mind, is I cloned the black background and put it on his ear but I changed the Opacity to 10%. Of course you can do a better job than I did.

Now that sir, is the best result I've seen yet, of the many methods I've tried. Thank you very much, I shall use that one I think. Was starting to think I would lose this shot, which would have been a shame, I like it.

Yea, I like it with the ear dulled down a bit. Like Poster posted. Perfect like that. The guy in the background is weird though........ Doesn't seem like he belongs there.

I agree.

I'm more distracted by the guy to the right with his mouth open.

This is what I would have done with it. It would have been nicer to have the full res image to get a more percise detail to work with, but you get the idea.
