I think these two lovers are a pair of asian small clawed otters. It was so sweet to watch them, they were so in love they couldn't keep away from each other.
Can you tell this was shot through a chain-link fence only about 12 inches in front of the otters?
400mm f/5.6L, f/5.6, 1/1250s.

Wonderfull photo.

Yes I believe I can. The bokeh gets kind a special weird pattern from the fence. But it is still a great photo.

If you hadn't said I would never have known.
Apart from Tommys' point the only other strange part is the ear on the otter on the left.
A bit of cloning maybe ?
It's a great shot, well done.

Fantastic shot, and yes, you can see the pattern of the fense in the back ground grass above the otters heads, but nothing all that bad. Kinda looks cool actually. Great shot though!

Well done..... where was it taken?Mole Hall Wildlife Park (http://www.molehall.com/)near Stanstead.

Shot is sweet.......but I thought minimum distance was like 11 feet with that lens.......You are right, the minimum focus distance is 3.5m and that's pretty much how far I was away from the otters, and the fence was about a foot in front of them.
I wish they'd been frolicking a little further back from the fence because it would have blurred out even more but you can't have everything.
