Hi Guys
I have some manual Tamron lenses from my old (film) Nikon SLR F3HP
1, can i use these lenses for my 20D?
2, which adaptor (specifically) do i need?
3, how will the quality be?

I'm guessing you're NOT joking. You can't use those Nikon lenses on a Canon.

There are plenty of adaptors available to allow the use of non ef mount lenses on Canon EOS bodies. Try searching a large camera store or the auction site. You'll obviously be stuck with stop down metering and no AF.
So unless the lenses are particularly good quality, it's generally not worth it; sell them and buy some EOS mount lenses. For owners of quality zeiss wide angle primes or similar it's definitely the way to go, as Canon's current crop of these lenses is not so hot (so I've read).

Some tamron adaptall lenses are outstanding even in this modern age so it's certainly not a dumb question!
If the lenses are indeed 'adaptall' types then it's an easy thing to buy an EOS adaptal mount.Note of course that you have to set the camera to 'Av' and choose the aperture on the lens (and of course you have to focus it yourself)
*One good hint -EOS adaptall mounts are rare and very expensive but there are easier more sensible options.Just buy an M42 (old screw mount) adaptall instead and combine that with a cheap EOS-M42 adapter ..far cheaper and more versatile!
And of course there is the option of using the lenses as they are with the help of an EOS-nikon adapter -also inexpensive and may suit you better (want to use other nikkor lenses too?)
All the best with it!!
