This is a picture taken earlier today of Sturt's Folly in Horton, Dorset, UK. It is a six storey tower built in the 17th century by a local landowner. His life revolved around hunting and when he became infirm and could no longer hunt, he built this tower so that he could observe the hunt from afar. Sadly it is now used as a mobile telephone transmitter. I am sure Sturt must be turning in his grave !

That's amazing. How out of place is that awesome building in the middle of a pasture? Great picture!

That is the most beautiful cell phone tower that I have ever seen. No reason that they all have to be ugly.

Being from Florida, I was thinking space shuttle when I first looked at it. Very nice shot! I like the composition.
