So I am getting better taking pics in day time and stuff like that.. it's pretty straight forward for what I am doing

My next thing, is taking pics at some concerts and DJ sets.. where it's pretty dark, with lights from stobes lights and other stuff

well I tried and it did not go well.. I would like to know what I should be looking at

I have a nifty 50mm f1.8, a 70-300 telephoto (witch is really useless) a tokina lens 17-50mm f2.8 , and a 580ex II flash all attached to a 50d

I dont like the 50 cause it's soo limited to my locations.

i need some pointers, with Apature, ISO and flash setup?

any advise? 1600iso seems pretty bad, and 3200 is horid but works..

halp!?

flash+ultrawide angle+shutter drag = good formula to start with.

there's a FAQ/sticky somewhere in Performing Arts forum i think about this.

shutter drag is a long exposure, using 2nd curtain flash.
