I don't know how some of you guys do it, I want to catch a DJ Set or a concert, but I dont know how you guys do it..

I would like to avoid using a flash but if you can make it look good without one, I am cool with that too..

current setup

Nifity 50mm f/1.8 (but I hate this lens because the lack of zoom is a PITA
Tamaron f/2.8 17-50 my fav lens
and some others that i am sure will not help
all hooked up to a 50d with a 580exII flash

some advise would be cool..

I got these

and

they look good , and they were usesing my older Canon 380flash

but i noticed that some of you guys get these real epic shots without me noticing that a flash was used..

ideas?
ISO, shutter, etc.. no tripod option here.

TIA!

large aperture
high ISO

I have seen PVD around 30 times, probably more. thats a good shot from him although you look like you were shooting up.

I will work with ISO.. I hate turning it up too high, I hate the noise.

the 50d will do pretty well at 1600 or even 3200. noise is better than blur!
