2009 Detroit Gold Cup (Hydroplane Racing)

Went down to the Detroit River yesterday to catch some of the qualifying, practicing, and general festivities for the 100th running of the APBA Detroit Gold Cup Hydroplane races (set to take place tomorrow)... The day was generally overcast, but pleasant.. Here are some shots (with more to come during tomorrows big race)

I also was down at the river yesterday, but I watched from Belle Isle. I like your panning shot even though it wasn't what you were trying for. I'll post some of my shots later.

Good job, your right about the rescue crew, but looking inside the trailer of #5 you can see why they don't stray to far away! ;o> Peace
