Anyone From New York? I need advice for upcoming trip...

So, my family is going to Palmyra, NY next week for a family (...albeit, religiously involved:confused:) vacation, and I'm excited to see local stuff.

We're already going to Niagara Falls for a day, so I plan on taking photos of the falls. Does anyone have any suggestions for places near Palmyra to visit? I'm hoping to go to the Erie Canal, but I can't really find any other 'photographic' areas to visit...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We'll be at a hotel on Canadaigua Rd, I believe.

The Hill Cumorah Pageant...and the Smith farm...but I suspect that might be part of your visit already. The Erie Canal goes right through downtown Palmyra, so you shouldn't have trouble finding that. You can run in to Rochester. The George Eastman House is sort of a must see for a photographer. The Corning Glass Center or the waterfalls at Watkins Glen State Park are an easy day trip. Also the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge is not far. There is a visitor information center ...that has lots of links to other local attractions. http://www.palmyrany.com/pal_tourism.htm
