Indeed legends each of them. Wonderful shots of a by gone era that I lived vicariously through my grandfather who was a WWII pilot/instructor for the Army Air Corps(Air Force). Thank you for sharing!

Nice shots, shame the skies weren't so good today though.

I almost commented before, wanting to see a P-40 Curtis. You met that obligation and I didn't even have to ask. Splendid! (Any P-38 Lightnings? tee hee) :D

Very nice shots, & I really hate to do this, but sorry, but in the "Share" areas IMAGE POSTING RULES (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74718) only allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread, OR 8 embedded (linked) images, OR a combination of both totaling 8.
(Maximum 1024 pixels on any side.) You can always just post a link to more, though, or better yet, post a link to a gallery so we don't have to click on each image link.
Some exceptions are "Show Me...", "Post your best...", equipment reviews, Tutorials, etc.

Sorry, I'd forgot about that rule. Think i got carried away with trying to give an impression of what the show was like in so few shots.
Thanks for the comments everyone.

Is that a RR Merlin in the ME-109 shot - the nose somehow looks different ? :)

Yes you are quite right, it does have a Merlin engine. It is actually a Buchon rather than an ME109, have a look here.

Although it isn't really a ME109, it looks close enough to play the part of the 'enemy' at airshows and several films.
Thanks for the comments.
