Please Critic

I took this picture last night during a thunderstorm. This was taken through my bedroom window, from behind a screen.

I used my Xti and Tamron 17-50mm.

Any thoughts/comments/questions are welcome.

Really this looks to me like a snapshot, with little thought given as to the perspective, or subject. If the objective was to capture the thunder storm, or rain, it might have been a good idea to get down to ground level, under an onning or something, switch it to manual and expose to get the "downpour" if you get what i'm saying.

Thanks foxguy. I was trying to capture the light. In Manual, my settings were F2.8, ISO100, 1/5 sec. I guess I should have increased the aperture and lowered the shutter speed to get the rain as well.
