I live in south Florida, while I'm not traveling the 200+ miles to watch the launch tonight, I will go roof bound, and take some shots. I will be using a XSI, with tamaron 2X and canon 100-400 L. and 400 it gives me aprox 800(*1.6) or 1280mm focal. Don't bust my hump about the crop factor I know..
The shuttle launches at 7:08 pending no further scrubs, it will be about an hour before sunset, and the shuttle even from 200+ miles away is visible to the naked eye and brightens the clouds as it enters the upper atmosphere by at least 2 full stops.
I will be shooting in raw, I will do some short bulb exposures, but my assumption is that i should expose for the flame and highlighted clouds?
Any other suggestions?
Cheers
