I think it is common for most of us, but the object is probably about double the size of a Pepsi can :lol:

BTW, I see you have a 7D. I just got mine last week and just sent it back today. I spent Saturday morning getting eaten up by large black mosquitos only to find all my pitures were soft. Back to Canon it went and they will be re-calibrating the autofocus system.

Well the device is very complex and has both mechanical and electronic systems that make it work. This is only one small component of the overall device.

Time for a hint!

This is a printed symbol. I told you that it was on one of the most complex handheld electro-mechanical device. Let me add optical to the mix. I believe all of you normally see this symbol but probably don't pay attention to it. Remember this is a macro of the image.

Given that it's black on white, I don't think it's part of the camera. I think it's the arrow on a CF or SD card that shows you the direction in which it should be inserted.

Close enough, but your wrong about it being part of the camera. This is something you see everytime you open the door to the CF compartment, but probably never look at.:)
