No, it is used for an outdoor activity and as stated before it is submerged in water for it to do it's thing.

Nope. The hole would be too small to put a shoe lace through, inless it was one of the smallest thinnest shoe laces. This image shows about 10mm width.

Um, no. There is a sort of clippy bit which is just visible in the photo...but this is clipping this bit onto the whole object...the whole object has no clippy sort of function.

Nope. Not really kitchen stuff...sort of measuring time, sort off...:)

Nope. Remember, this does it's thing alone, and helps you do your thing much better...
It is to do with measuring, and a clock was more along the right lines than a ruler.
The big chunk you can see is about 1cm across, and is on another bit that has "markings" on it...The bit you see is sort of clipped onto it, but the whole item doesn't clip anything.
Clue: The bit you see moves which changes the way this item does what it does...
