Sean, you're making me do my homework. Never heard of vegemite until you wrote it. I don't think a paste qualifies as a liquid. The connection to Australia is product contents and the container seems to be different than I have seen for any other container carrying the similar product; I could be wrong. But obviously no one seems to recognize the image.

I think that it serves as part of the security sealing process of the package. I can provide a picture down into the throat of the container if it interest you.
I just wish it was still full. I like the wine, it is sweet white wine, but I normally get in a bottle.

It's an old Olympus OM bellows with an m43 adapter attached. The lens is an old Olympus 50mm macro that is sharper than any old cheap lens has any right to be.

Looks to me like the 1/4" screw fixing for a camera strap to attach to the base of the camera, where you would screw it to a tripod plate. The sort of screw fixing where you can turn it with a small coin.

Very close, but not 1/4" and nothing to do with a strap.

Close enough, it is a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter screw used to mount a ARCA clamp to a ball head. I'll post a larger picture when I get home.
