Short answer: Grits are nasty. :lol: If you live in the Southern US, you *will* be served a side of grits with your breakfast. I'm told if you make them correctly, they're delicious, but I don't know if I believe it. :) In all honesty, I think they're like porridge.

If you're scottish, you use mostly water and add SALT! Yuk!

If you're not Scottish, you make it nice and creamy with milk. Then you put sugar on the top and a drop of cold milk around the edges! Yum!
