The rules are simple. Someone posts a super macro photo and the rest have to guess what it is. Whoever guesses first has to post another photo and so it goes on.

I'll start things off with an easy one. :D

I had this happen in another forum, went to my email settings and found it listed as blocked? Removed that one from the list and all is well.:D

If I were to guess it would be the base of the ball head/collar bit.

I was only acknowledging that it was part of a tripod, people still had to guess which part.


However, since Mike has added to his guess that it was the base of the ball head, collar, he is correct. It is the ball and pivot area of a ball head.


So, Mike's post stands as the next macro to guess. Next time I will make sure that people know what my answers mean so that there is no confusion. I guess I thought people had to be a little specific in their guesses. Maybe from now on I can win by just saying, "It's a thing". No need to say what "thing" it is.:p:p:p:p
