I own a G2 and an older canon AE-1. I would like to use the 420ex flash with the older Canon (SLR) AE-1. I have concluded that I need to use it manually. The flash will fire at the camera synch speed of 1/60. I use 200 speed color film.
How do I know what f-stop setting to use ? I suppose a flash meter is the answer.
I have an older vivitar and usually set it a f11 or f16 for the above film speed and shutter.
