In honor of Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Forum Moms. May you all be spoiled on your special day.

Cute shot! What were your settings? Could you have stopped down the lens a notch to increase the DOF? Would you have preferred a larger DOF? I'm not being critical--I'm just an "experienced" beginner and I'm trying to learn from the photos that folks post. Which lens did you use?

No Worries. Criticize away. I am also learning as I go along.
Today's lesson? Make sure you have the correct setting before you take the shot. Later, when I looked at the EXIF data, I discovered that the camera was in Av Mode with a 2.8 aperture.

Not surprising that the DOF was so shallow.

Oh well. I figure 2 1/2 ducks in focus is better than no ducks. Perhaps Momma duck would be willing to give me a pass on this one. LOL

As for the lens, it was the (outstanding!) 70-200mm.

Thanks for taking a peek
Steve

Well, I imagine the ducks weren't exactly posing for you to take the shot so you probably had to take it or miss it! It is a darn good shot and I only hope I am half as successful when I receive and try out my 70-200 4L.
