Wow,. at this age you can see how much they look like a regular hawk under all those feathers.. the forward facing eyes and "face" are not nearly so pronounced as in the adults.

Incredible eyes. I bet baby could snap your finger off with that beak if you get too close.

Those are some pretty amazing shots. HOW did you get them?

With a 100-400L IS fitted with a 13mm extention tube from 4 feet. And for the close up of the eye, with a 100mm macro from about 14 inches!
