I have a Canon SX10 IS and was wondering if anyone Photoshops their pictures after they take them.
I see such incredible pictures with the SX10 IS, I can't image that I could take a photo like most of you have.

Photoshop isn't a verb..
But to answer your question, my guess would be that most people edit their photos from minor to major, depending on the photo, to achieve satisfying results. I personally will edit every image I take so that I know it looks the best that it can..

Photoshop is too a verb... a quite used one too.. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=photoshop
I use it more that way than an actual name of the product. ;-)
There is a lot of photoshopping done on the images here - it usually only helps if you use it sparingly.

Photoshop is too a verb. (http://.)
Verb or slang, the term is used often by many, and it was quite rude to correct
Litespeed. Personally I Photoshop most photos to some extent, but try to make them as good as I can right out of the camera.

I do my photoshopping with Jasc Paint Shop Pro v.9. Corel took them over and I later got Corel Paint Shop Pro v.11 but it wasn't as capable. I guess I'll look into Photoshop some day.

I've really done this backwords, I spent years learning Paint Shop Pro and now PhotoshopCS3 just because I like working with graphics. I do very little to my photos with either program besides resizing, red eye, or cropping a photo. I can do the fancy stuff and make corrections to portraits but seldom do I do them.....except on my photos. Yeah I take out the wrinkles and stuff. J/K I do crop, red eye and resize the most to post online.
If I were buying a graphics program to work on my photos I would buy either Photoshop Elements or Paint Shop Pro to begin with and see how those work first before investing in PS.

Here's another example of Photoshop...oh the power.

I used the clone brush to remove the nasty ragweed....what is that weed? Anyhow it was a quick removal....then I resized. Forgot to save the removal in the orignal size so I'll have to do it again if I want to print this. Oh and I think I also forgot to sharpen just a bit so it lost a bit of sharpening in the resize.

When I had my canon XTi, I had to do a lot of brightening before posting. Now, I do very little. If a photo looks a bit dark, I have an action recorded in CS2 that runs "Auto Contrast" & "Auto Levels" both at default settings.
Honestly, with the SX10 IS, it does not take much.

At work we have a little HP digital, I actually use my canon's at work, but I did stumple on a control method on that camera to lighten the actual photos the camera takes. The camera takes better photos now but still nothing close to my Canon.

Most of my pics are edited somewhat. I have actually gotten quite a few pretty near perfect shots that I did not have to edit at all with the sx10. Most of those were outdoor closeup pics in near perfect late afternoon light.
I just do my editing in my Canon software as I will never be able to figure out PSE5 or any of them. I use Picasa a little but prefer the Canon software editing.
