I really am a newbie. Way newbie to all this stuff. I bought a 300d on a whim and love it. Here's the question.

When I download the files from the camera, they go into zoombrowser. I'm doing that probably because it's default and I've used it for a few years with another camera. If I shoot raw and want to edit, I can grab all the raw shots in Raw Shooter and edit them. no problem. However, when I try to go to PS with raw shots, I have to convert to jpeg. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is.

Also, do most of you work with your files out of zoombrowser or what?

And, will a card reader speed up downloads from the camera and if so will my computer still be smart enough to just download new shots thru a card reader. Thanks for your patience with a newbie. I have found this site to be absolutely invaluable in getting me off the ground.

do you have photoshop CS or an older one?
In CS you can open RAW files

If you use CS, download the lattest RAW plugin here:
