I am running a server at home and wanted to be able to download pictures to it. I've installed all of the latest software/drivers from Canon. When I plug the camera in, it is recognized, but all I can get access to are thumbnails occassionally, with the camera not even being recognized other times. I have no problems downloading to my wife's XP system.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

Thanks,
Dave

Start with a card reader.

Are you shooting in RAW? Could be Server2K3 doesn't support it as well as XP.

I agree with the previous post as well. Card Reader, definitely.

Win 2k03 server is not intended as a direct access workstation. Download to your wife’s PC then copy the images from her system to the server. Other than that the card reader solution offered earlier is the only way.;)
