So here is my first attempt at a local biking event. Stepping largely out of my comfort zone with these shots.

Even though this one is basically a complete blur in every aspect, I sorta like it.

And I wish this one was in focus...

The panning on 3 & 4 are great. I know what you mean about the blurred shots. I had one from a soccer game last night that I just love & can't just hit the delete button. But for yours I could totally see it as the background of an ad.

Great shots. Panning was made for cycling. What shutter speed were you using?

Thanks for the comments guys. Because I never photographed a cycling event before it was a lot of experimentation throughout the day in just trying different things. For the panning shots I believe that I was using shutter speeds from 1/80th all the way down to as slow as 1/30th.

Love the second shot and the angle.

I liked #2 minus the focusing on the butt region and the last one even if it was a little out of focus. Great pics though!

These are from the CAT 3/4 race, did you shoot the Pro Women or Men's race? I was there as a member of the Media shooting. I got about 700 good shots from all three races. I was thinking about posting some here.
