Title says it all. Show is at the Coca Cola Stadium in Allentown PA (minor league baseball park). I'm tossed whether to try to take it in, or leave it home and enjoy the show, maybe take the G9 and get some high ISO snaps.

Well, I took the G9. I got some decent high ISO shots, good enough for personal use. Not that I'd do anything else with them anyhow. I haven't run them through noise reduction yet.
Here's an OK one. I was using "P" to get the exposure, at ISO 1600 and -2 exposure compensation. For a snapshot from a little point and shoot, I'm satisfied. Lightroom's noise reduction done to this one.

Funny story: I asked a security worker who looked cool if I would have been able to get the big camera in. He answered probably, but as soon as I raised it I would have been asked to check it. Not thinking, I said, "I thought so, that's why I brought the little camera," and I pulled the G9 out. He said, "Aw man, you shouldn't have done that! NO, you can't have that one, either! Sheesh. Look, just put it back in your pocket, OK? Enjoy the show."

Though there are standard operating procedures that venues operate by... Sometimes the venue rules might vary from show to show... It's often a good idea to call the venue on day of the show, to see what the final rules for cameras are... If there is any chance of shooting a show with personal cameras, the venue will get the info from the band when they either arrive, or are on the way to the venue (just hours before the show)...
