HDR 3 exp, using a Grad ND .9 Hard. Question, does the foreground look too dark?

It has a nice balance to it IMO. Beautiful Sky!!!! Good work.

Looks nice. Not over-done, and, at least on this computer, I don't see a bunch of haloing. Good job.

Out of curiosity, if you were using a grad nd filter, why did you need to make an HDR? Wouldn't you get the extended tonal range by just using the filter?

Yep, one could, But I wanted to experiment a bit. In Photomatrix Ive noticed that the overexposed shot was washing out the sky too much for my taste when blended, so I wanted to experiment using an Grad ND on all 3 exposures. In doing that,it seems to me, the colors in the sky came out a bit richer.

Out of curiosity, if you were using a grad nd filter, why did you need to make an HDR? Wouldn't you get the extended tonal range by just using the filter?
