Hi guys.
I've spent hours searching this excellent forum and most the posts are for US online stores and theirs no UK retailers.

This is what I need to buy asap.

Two light but sturdy light stands with brackets to hold Canon speedlites.

Any make/model you recommend?
The Lovegrove Flash Bracket looks perfect except you can't mount a umbrella or can you?

The Lastolite TriFlash Three Shoe Tilthead, looks sturdy, anyone use it?

I'd like to be able to walk in and buy, Jessops, Jacobs, calumet etc are out of stock of most things. Hmmm

Help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Duncan

Hi Duncan, I bought a flash and umbrella bracket a few days ago from a camera shop in Cambridge. The cost was about £25.00 or thereabouts. I too am amazed at how cheap the gear is on the american web sites compared to similar gear from a UK supplier. I am seriously thinking about buying stuff from the US and being patient while it's delivered.

Just reread your post. The flash bracket I bought has the ability to fix onto a light stand but it also has an internal thread to screw onto any tripod so I am just using an old cheapie tripod as my light stand for the time being.
