Not a for sale and not really expecting to ever see this stuff again but for my own piece of mind I had to post the notice.

Unloading supplies at a retail shop we have and left the car open while we walked 30 feet back and forth to the door. I guess just enough time to let someone open the unlocked door and grab my travel camera bag out of the car.

So, I am out a Canon G10 ser#6921002187, Brand New Sunpak RD2000 Flash ser#960436023980, two new Eneloop Batteries, a spare Canon Battery for the G10, a Sandisk 8GB Extreme III SD card and 4 Kingston 2GB SD cards in a Sandisk Case plus the Blue/Grey case it was all in. And my favorite item on the rig, a Cleaning Cloth my Daughter brought back from Disney.

Probably kids but I'll keep an eye on Craigs list and Ebay but most likely a long shot.

Now I feel better.

Sorry to hear it.

I hate-hate-hate-hate thieves, and hope "karma" is real and they get run over!

But, calming down a little, if you're insured, why not jump over to a dSLR?
:D

That really really sucks! Karma will catch up with whomever stole your stuff. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks for the thoughts, I didn't think of posting on Craig's List, good idea.

Already way deep into DSLR gear. Lucky it wasn't one of those bags that was taken or I'd really be crying.

One of the POTN members started a thread with a list of stolen equipments and their serial no's. You might want to post the info this thread

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=712868

It would have been great if this thread was made as a sticky threa.

Where were you? Keep checking craigslist to see if it shows up.

I hope you had insurance :-(

you didn't post the serial numbers of the batteries. ;)

Friend at work laid her camera bag down in a high end art gallery in Maui last week. Gone. Video cameras everywhere. Manager said: No, we have no surveillance tapes. Scum.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I try to look at it as I'd rather lose it that way than get held up at gunpoint for it.

Actually he should post on Craiglist wanting/looking for a used Canon G10.
The theif may be that stupid and try sell it back to him without knowing it actually is his.

All the more reason to follow standard procedure when owning good camera equipment:

Somewhere inside the camera body, install C4 explosive.
Install a long-range remote trigger for said C4.
When camera is stolen, immediately arm and activate trigger.
Listen for noise and subsequent fussing.
Call 911.
Call insurance company.
Log in at Photography on the Net to buy quality replacement camera equipment.
Return to Step 1.

Hey...sorry to hear that. I'm near you (allentown area) so I'll keep an eye out locally as well as on Craigslist which I check every day.

Can't you use PocketWizards for that?

Dude, terrible to hear about this kind of stuff happening. I hope you get your stuff back.

Let this be a warning to us all, look after your stuff!

I'm a big believer in karma for stuff like this. The only disappointment is I don;t get to see it happen.

I would so enjoy that.
