Well almost, it's the FA XI (who get the privilege of wearing the full England kit) taking on the Middlesex Wanderers... here's some of the action...

Amazing action shots. You have to be using a pretty high shutter speed to catch these?

Cheers Vetteography! These are all shot at 1/1000s or above.

I like #7. I've been there once, FA Trophy semi final in 1997. B*****d Dagenham robbed me of the chance of seeing my team at Wembley!

I remember it well! I covered the first leg and the replay for the Barking & Dagenham Recorder... and I was lucky enough to get a trip to Wembley to shoot the final. Of course, I didn't see that epic second leg - a 2-2 draw I seem to recall...

Here's an image from the Final that I was quite pleased to get. Ted Hardy (Dagenham's manager) meets a chap called Pele... and is that Alan Turvey in the background trying to get in on the act??

Just a quick scan from the print so apologies for the very low quality...

Much appreciated Vetteography! I was shooting at around 1/1000s for these images. That's generally ideal for football - although you can work at 1/500s and still be reasonably successful in freezing the action.

Cheers BottomBracket. These were shot with the 300mm f/2.8L + 1.4x extender...
