I went out for a walk tonight. I took a trip to Mission Park and noticed a cool outcrop of notilucent clouds filling the skies. I've shot many of these before and had them printed all over, on websites and in print and in newspaper..so sometimes I like to just enjoy displays rather than photograph them.

I felt like someone was watching me, too, though.

I looked around the park and as I looked into the mission's balcony I made out a weird shape...so I lifted up my camera and started snapping away.

I was stunned at the sight. Two spirits watching me from the balcony!

I called to them and they drifted down from all around...

I saw them whisping across the grass and coming towards me. A couple came down and introduced themselves as spirits visiting and watching the Notilucent cloud display.

They introduced their names as Tyson and Haylor

They said they had many friends who had gathered from all around to see the display...and i asked them if they were here, too. They called up to the mission balcony, again, and down swooped several more friendly spiritual watchers.

If you look closely in this shot; you can see them coming down the balcony!

I was a bit startled when this young one snuck up behind me and introduced herself as Cecila

After a few introductions were passed around of the newcomers, we all chilled on the grass and watched the skies...I'll upload more shots of the notilucent clouds we saw, that night.

Look forward to more..and if you want to give me a shout on my website for meeting these young ghosties, feel free to post a reply on my blog entry ;)

Thanks! I was inspired to try something like this by the work of cole thompson at this link:

http://www.colethompsonphotography.com/TheGhostsOfGreatBritain.htm

Straight out of raw, side from the first one..I gave that a bit of a "spookier" cross processing with curves.

I learned how to shoot a building with an ultra-wide angle so that there was minimal distortion to the image. All I had to do was stop shooting up (and instead; shoot straight on) to exaggerate its size..and I realized just how straight I could make the lines of the building. I remember reading this long ago but never really remember everything i read when I'm out and about actually shooting. Was kind of a "D'uhr" moment when I got back home and compared some of the shots.
