View Full Version : HELP!!! (It's alittle deer)

I'm virtually brand new to photography and posted the image "It's a little deer".
I have had one critique for this image, and I am now concerned that I may not have posted it correctly  .
The critique seems to indicate that the posted image size is tiny, but on my monitor it comes up a very sensible size.
Have I got it wrong? Can anyone help me?
It's a bit disconcerting when you want constructive advice on an image, but then you find out you might have dropped a clanger.
All help VERY gratefully received.

Try loading it again and wait to see if the image shows it was loaded.

Think I've managed to sort the problem.
If anyone would like to have a look for me and let me know if everything is as it should be now I would be grateful.
If it is there critiques would also be apretiated.
Thanks for your help

I see you edited the post, was that to change the photo size? I looked at the thread earlier, and the photo came up approximately 100x100 pixels.

I don't see anything either, you need to attach the image again.

Your post contains no links to any images nor any attachments...

Still nothing. resize to somewhere around 400x500, then put it somewhere, like your desktop, then go to the advance button below where you post a reply, then select the manage attachments, then press browse and find your image, then press upload and a small icon will show up at the bottom of the window if it uploaded. That should do it. Good luck.

What am I doing wrong?[I][U]
My photo's are stored in "My Pictures" on my PC, and are obviously quite large having been taken at 6.3 mega pixels.
All I have done is opened the file in Photoshop 7 and resized the image ,so the it complies with the 100KB file size permissible for attachments on this site.
The resizing was done by clicking on "Image" and then image size.
I just kept reducing the dimensions of the image until it came within the 100KB requirement.
I know I've probably done something really stupid, but like I said, photography is all quite new to me.
Can you good people help me out?

I can't get 100kb to load either, so maybe try making them 300x400 for starters and see if that loads if it does, then maybe you can go larger.

I have re-sized the image to 500X300, which has uploaded at around 79KB.
That said the last time I re attached the image it uploaded at a larger file size (Approx. 97KB), so I can't get my head around what I must be doing wrong

Here is the original post. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=72369 When I looked at earlier today it was very tiny. Now it is a decent size to see.

THANKS for taking the trouble to let me know that I've finally got it somewhere near right.
