Went to mum's for mothers day.. (as ya do).. she has a beautiful garden, but this time of year not much is blooming (Autumn). She did tell me what it was called, but I cant remember what it was.

I think it is called a Viola Tri-colour. Some people call them Pansies. They are also known as "Hearts Ease" and "Johnny Jump Ups" in times past apparantly some hebalists thought they were good for treating heart conditions! Back to photography, lovely shot.

the lovely flower is called a Pansy in these islands but some words have different meanings everywhere

not the L kind but the kitchen window

I don't know where I read about that plant, but I just google'd it for the craic and see "Viola Tricolour has long been used in the treatment of eczema" so it's a busy little plant and deserves to have such a nice portrait taken of it!
