The cardinals have become regulars at the feeder, and I've been able to get a couple of shots of that crest. Here's the female, top down:

the first one is the best to me. i have a male cardinal that is coming around,but so far no luck catching him with the camera.good job capturing her.i know how hard it is.

I have a clear shot or two of a male I'll post when I get the tweaking done.

i know what you mean about having better luck with them on the ground.i managed to catch my personal best of a bluejay on the ground.under the feeder instead of on it.

WOW...awesome birds. I have Orioles at my feeders. The squirrels keep trying to twart them.

Nice shots tupe. I think i need to set up my own feeder. Thanks, CFC. Yeah, I had no idea of the variety that hang around here until I started feeding them.
