This is both nature and transportation, but I figured I'd post it here.

I was taking some pictures of a bird out my front window and this helicopter just happened to buzz my house right at that moment. I'm pretty sure it was my neighbor who is an test pilot, or one of his buddies buzzing his house. There wasn't much cropping here. He couldn't have been more than 200-300 feet off the ground.

A big thank you to CDS for listing this Sigma 500mm lens here on POTN before FM, even though he knew it would sell faster over in their buy & sell forum.

I think I'm going to like this lens. :D

That bird is excellent!

Phil,. I was wondering when you were going to show us something with that new bad boy of yours ;)

The shots look fantastic... your exposure on that very black bird is spot on.. showing lots of color variation and detail in what is far too often just a bunch of black when underexposed even a touch.
