Any idea what I captured? Help!

Hey guys,

I've been trying to get out more and more but it's been horrible here. I finally got out tonight and tried shooting with my 50mm 1.8.. Now I've had mixed results with this, but I am still struggling to get focus! It sucks! If you can give me an idea how to do this too would be great!

But here is what I got, I have no idea what that cluster type thing is and was wondering? :cool:

Which picture is this cluster you speak of?

We should have a "Guess the Shot" competition.

I'm going to go with NGC-6541, a Globular Cluster in Corona Australis. (If you're talking about the bit above-left of centre that is.)

If I'm right, then I think the other "blob" just below centre and right on the left side is possibly M7, Ptolemy's Cluster, in Scorpius.

As for your focus, I think it looks pretty good really.
