It has been a couple of months (or so) since I "converted" to Canon and Friday night was the first time I dared shoot a major performer at my Chumash Casino Resort job (I also have a day job) with the 1D Mark II instead of my Fuji S2 Pro. I still prefer what the Fuji does with skin tones and the odd light that exists in live stage performances. But, I shot for the very first time with the 70-200mm using the 2.0 TC at full 400mm handheld and got amazingly crisp, stable images, some of which can be seen in this post: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=539548#post539548 that I put up a bit earlier. I also used the 24-70mm and 16-35mm but that's another story. The 70-200mm with 2.0 TC really stunned me ... after I put it on I even forgot it was there.
