Now that both kids have glasses I am trying to learn to take pictures with flashes without being blinded.

I have a 430EXII and a reflector in his lap (only other light source was some light coming in from the windows on an overcast day)

I had a hard time getting him to position his head so I did not get the flash in his glasses. I thought this look made him look a little more studious..lol.

Great job on this shot. I've spent hours on the glasses problem. It's not just the glare on the lenses, but the shadows from the frames and temples that have to be ameliorated. Also, the standard fixes like "tilt the lens forward a little" don't work well with coke bottle lenses (like mine). It's another challenge though.

Thanks and I know what you mean as I tried to do the tilt. Egan's left lens is really thick. Left eye is 2.00 and right .75. Making one eye look a little bigger than the other so another challenge. I really liked the light the reflector brought in and I have been having fun experimenting with it.
