Does the HDMI out work while recording.

Wondering about this for a crane setup with a monitor at the base of the crane.

The shutter button isn't used to start and stop video recording correct? Any wired remote options for start and stop video function?

nope. only for still photo. maybe on a next upgrade or firmware where you can set live-view to movie only and the shutter can be the button for recording.

not that I know of.
