Photobiz any good?

I'm looking for something that will look nice for wedding photography. I know music and flash don't seem to be on the top of anyone list but it seems all the $5k wedding photographers are using this style for their websites

Have you considered discussing this with an inpendendt site developer/designer who has worked for photographers in the past?

Music is OK if the client has the option of turning it off immediately. Some musical selections can get in the way of an otherwise good site layout and ruin the viewing experience. Honestly, I have no experience with Photobiz so can't give you any constructive advice.

I had an independent do my site, which is now close to 3 years old. Some suggest it may be getting dated. As an alternative I maintain a blog - I know, not the same as website - but it gives me the opportunity for frequent, easy updates that I can handle myself, on the fly, at no cost. Unfortunately I don't know html so can't handle the other stuff. - Stu

I posted a similar topic yesterday. From my analysis it looks like photobiz is perfectly suitable. Professional designs, easy to customize and maintain. Plus, I've spotted several 'high-end' photographers using these templates. One additional observation: Many folks have a landing page that is custom. This landing page directs folks to the template page. So, if you want, invest in a cool landing page that will be faily simple for any contract web designer to generate and leverage all the photobiz benefits (back end, industry specific tools, et cetera). This is the method I am going with.

just curious..but what're the 10-20k wedding photographers doing on their websites? I want to hit that bracket :D

They usually do a personal video of them selves talking about how they are available to the average joe even though they have shot celebrity weddings.
