I shot my first wedding with a 20d, 30d, and a 50d. I own the 50d and I borrowed the other two. For my second wedding which is next week, I decided to rent a 5d to accompany my 50d. Any thoughts? I will be using a 70-200 2.8 IS, 17-55 2.8 is, and 135 f2 L.

The first thought that comes to mind is the 17-55 2.8 IS. It's an EF-S lens and will not work on the 5D. If your 50D fails, then you are going to be seriously hindered.
Why not rent a XXD body?

I wanted to have something closer to the 50d's noise capabilities ( yes, the 5d is probably better). I have a person shooting second for me as well. He will have a 20d and 50d. I do have the 28-135 IS ( i know its not fast), I could throw that in the car just in case.

I think you're going to be madly in love with the files from the 5D+135L - especially when shooting at f/2. Probably one of my favorite combos ;)

So I just picked up the lenses and 5d. I did a couple of test shots around the house with the 5d + 135L. Smoothest bokeh I have personally seen(shot), better than the 70-200 2.8. I also tested the ISO capabilities of the 5d. At 3200 I think it is as good or better than my 50D at 1600. Really looking forward to this weekend.
