First pics with EOS 300D and kit lens.

It was windy so DOF was hard to control. Also I should have tried larger DOF.

I think I read here somewhere that you can't take pictures like this with the kit lens. Please don't do it again....

Nice job. Isn't that lens something?

I think I read here somewhere that you can't take pictures like this with the kit lens. Please don't do it again....:D:D:D Yeah, it's not terrible at all, especially at f/8+. It's just that, in comparison to an "L" (& my old Nikkors), it feels like a toy, won't hold a manual focus well, & isn't as sharp. Considering it's price & wide angle/macro capabilities though, it's an OK lens for general purpose photography & that's what it was designed to be. ;) A case could be made for bad mouthing "L"s, too. Too big, too heavy, too 'visible', cost's too much...
