Birds at Sunrise and Canal

Kenny, I like both shots, especially the birds at sunrise. The fluffy clouds high in the sky help balance it out the proportionally large amount of sky compared to land. The exposure looks right on to these amateur eyes. The canal shot appears to have excellent composition but on my monitor the bottom of the photo appears black--is it? The reflcetion of that far off fir tree in the water is cool. Keep shooting and posting!

I think the first shot is a winner, the stuff they make cards from. On #2, I concur with Dennis about the composition and wonder if a touch of "Shadows & Highlights fro Photoshop migh help a bit to ligten it up a tad.

Yeah, the bottom one, is definitely dark but not completely black at the bottom. It's also got a "sundog" in the middle-left, cause I didn't have a hood on the lens.....learning, re-learning and learning some more.
