Hi all I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to this forum and new to Canon DSLR. It was nice to see a Canon forum and from the little lurking I've done in the shadows you seem like a group of people. Well I hope I posted this in the right forum and I look forward to getting to know you all.

Thanks guys :-) And yeah the "L" fever scares me...I hear it can be deadly...Anyone ever survive from that fever and live to want "more"? LOL I have already been looking on Ebay...That's where I got this D60 from :-). Oh but you guys have a nice little market in here, seen a guy selling a D10 for close to what I paid for this D60. I can already see you guys are going to hurt me LOL
So I take it that before the real fever hits you get that little bug that makes you buy alot of the cheaper stuff only to end up selling it here or on Ebay LOL. Than again I guess that's probably better than getting the fever right off the bat, kind of preps your body for the fever:-)

Memo to Keiffer: Trust me, these guys and girls have subtle ways of making you spend.... First they'll soften you up with a little "isn't the kit lens a little soft...." and then " Can't believe how sharp this L lens is...!!!" There will surely be quiet mention of B&H Video and their fantastic service, followed by shots of Canon lens boxes ( Lof course...) They even resort to mean nasty tactics such as suggesting their ..."...HUSBAND BOUGHT IT FOR ME!", or even more dirty, "My wife didn't mind! :lol: " Believe me, they'll have your credit card soft like putty in your hand before you know it.
P.S Watch out for this line "The 50 F1.8 is an amazing lens for $70!" For sure someone will slip that one in...

Welcome, the "L" fever certainly is deadly. I lost an uncle to it a few weeks ago. His wife killed him when he brought that baby home, just dont get caught with it ;)

There are worse fevers than L fever, the deadly WHITE L FEVER. The actual L's won't kill you, its the side effects that have the most impact. This can be in the form of your wife/husband, bank manger or a loan shark. I am still waiting for enough cash to get a 20D and 17-40mm L. Spending time on this forum, a hell of a lot of time, allows me to learn a great deal from this group of people - I try to fit in too - and also develop my L fever more and more.

What I should have simply said is WELCOME. ENJOY. AND L AWAY.
