My first shots of moving object, in this case one that moves very fast.
camera : rebel XS with kit lens.
I set camera to servo AI and just snapped away in Program mode
retouched photos in Picasa
constructive commentary please!

Program mode It just doesn't give you much control over your results. Think about using another mode for those. Read this & the links you find in this, & give it another try:

I would set it up in M mode and use a slower shutter speed so that you get some feel of motion out of him.

that's the next step. rolling/panning shots.

I did;t want to experiment at that time as we were running low on daylight and artificial lighting isnt so good there.

What do you guys think of the overall pictures?

What can i do to improve composition to render it more interesting?
