Here are some pics of the Coastguard Helicopter - Whisky Bravo. Taking off after delivering a rescued diver to Poole Hospital for urgent decompression.

Nice shots, it's so huge! Standing that close, I'm suprised you weren't blown out to sea :)

Great photos, it is absolutely massive. NEver realised the coastguard helicopters were that size.

Not that it really matters, but the Coast Guard in the U.S. use a lot of different helos, including the Sea King here and Sea Hawks. I was able to walk through one at an air show in California...they are BIG! Great Shots!!! I'm amazed that there were that many people, that close to the landing pad! All the better to take photos though.

Excellent photos of that Monster Chopper. That little G-5 is very capable. ;)

The downdraft was not to bad, it took off vertically for quite a way, then flew of quite quickly. Obviously trying to stay clear of the onlookers and happy snappers like me. It was a chance encounter, I always carry my camera with me so my luck was in.

I am seriously thinking of buying a 350D, but I still love my little G5. I am not sure I would carry a DSLR around with me so much and would miss chance shots like these.

Those are very good. I could almost feel the wind blowing out of my monitor. ;-)
