Group shot questions

Do you think they were all shot individually on a background that was removed? How would you go about doing something like this?

They're most likely individual shots of each actor cut out and PPed together over the background.

Yeah its a series of shots put together in Photoshop-very simple. Just take a series of pictures with the same backdrop and then create a new photoshop document that is very long and paste the pictures in next to each other.

Certainly a composite image. Research in "Green Screen (http://www.adorama.com/searchsite/default.aspx?searchinfo=green%20screen)" and "Chroma Key (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_key)" should be helpful.
