One of the many beautiful cars at the moose lodge this past sunday.

Very nice. You did a good job of masking out the usual car show background and replacing with a relevant backdrop.

Yep, looks like an advert or poster maybe.

Thanks folks. The hardest part for me was getting the shadow under the car to look right. If anyone knows of an online tutorial that might help, I would appreciate the link.

Hmmmm I can imagine. FWIW it didn't scream out to me as being out of place. I guess it would be more critical the larger the size the image is reproduced or displayed at.

Here's what I'm working on now. Got the scoop idea from PhotoGuy. Waiting now on someone to id the year for me. This time, I masked out the shadow with the car. Much easier than cutting out the car and then trying to create a realistic shadow.

That's very nice too. Looks like the text might be over a bit too far to the right though?

Thanks anthony. Yeah, I've got to center everything before I crop. I've not decided whether to print 13x19 or 11x14 yet. I'll make that decision once Iget a year for this beauty.

Dwaine, actually it is a 1971. I tracked it down via the tail lights. They were one of the few distinctive features of the '70-'72 models. What made it hard was the fact that the side markers and other identifying areas had been removed. But thanks for the reply.

That looks pretty good. Crop some off the bottom. The longer the frame, the longer the car will look. If you print it, use a mat to make up the difference in size.

The hardest part for me was getting the shadow under the car to look right. If anyone knows of an online tutorial that might help, I would appreciate the link. Here's an idea!!! Look at the original shadow under it for a start? The shadow in #1 is too small & in #2 it's too hard.
I use this tool with a feather to make mine, & sometimes I don't get them right, either. ;)

Frank, thanks a bunch for the tips. I love your posts and your tutorials. You 'da man' when it comes to car images. I've been shooting for over 50 years but just recently started shooting cars. Wow! I figured they would be easy after all the years of wranglings people and pets but dang if they aren't just as hard. You just don't get that many reflections and/or sun glare from a family setting. :) Thanks again.

You're welcome. ...dang if they aren't just as hard. Cars don't talk back, run around the studio, or complain that you didn't get their good side? ;)
