SQL syntax error `ee_camera`

I've used phpMyAdmin to create my database, set the database parameters, etc according to the instructions.

Howeverwhen I run setup.php I get the following error:

INSERTING CORE EE DATA:

You have an error in your SQL syntax near '`ee_camera` ' at line 2
ERROR IN QUERY:
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `ee_camera`

Any ideas what's wrong?
