hey peoples.. this is my first attempt at hdr. i love the idea and cant wait to experiment a little more...
so.. how did i do..

You did well, it doesn't look too garish and you've no nasty halos.

Not bad, it's not obviously over done, however the sea seems a bit weird in the background

yeah... i noticed that too... i think it was from the waves moving and me not selecting a tick box on photomatix...

im guessing that this type of photography really comes alive around dusk and the like yeah?

Nice shot, I like the composition and bokeh. What were the pulley's for ( to pull the boats in, perhaps) ?

thankyou guys... yeah, these are the old winches that use to pull the boats up the beach. i liked the rustic look.

might try it as a black and white too... does hdr work in monochrome?
