Taken in Tsuen Wan NT - Hong Kong SAR, this morning at my balcony.

This is the sun, not the moon. Taken with SX10IS Powershot

For those who liked to know :

All photos are done with the Canon SX10IS Powershot, handheld
2 pcs of Polarizer filter sandwiched
My trusty Ray-Ban sunglass (for my eyes) and at times a second pair of sunglass
ISO setting is between 80 - 400, with Cloudy as WB.

Post processing : Picasa 3 (from Google) and Noiseware (to reduce the fringe noise in the dark areas).

I had just added a footnote of the shot's setup for your reference. Buddies from Facebook had flooded my Inbox with this question. No secret or expensive accessories.

I have just viewed your Gallary. It is beyond words. You gotta show me how to make these photos . They are so nice (ran out of higher words to use).

No more this year but two next year. 1/15/2010 annular eclipse across Africa and Asia and 7/10/2010, a total eclipse across South America including Easter Island.

That would be a totally awesome photo trip. A total eclipse on Easter Island. Just think of the photo ops. Man I wish I was rich.

Great shots, a friend went to China and just got clear sky right before the eclipse, after horrible forecasts and clouds for days. He was incredulous....
