I have various stands and holders, and really, they are pretty much generic....they all do their job. Two of my favorites are the RBH2566 from Paul C Buff ( AlienBee ) and the SPBLS32 stand from studio systems. That is a cool stand with a built in boom arm for fairly light weight stuff ( I put a speedlight with an umbrella or brollybox on it often )....it has strong clamps on it to hold reflectors. Do a google for the above mentioned pieces to see them.

I like the photoflex version....some others really like the westcott.
Stay away from the impact version, as the design of it is pretty flawed.

I like the photoflex version...

The Photoflex LiteDisc holder is well made and works very well. If you have a counter weight and/or sandbag the base of your stand you can also use the holder as a light to mid-weight boom.
